    Quick comment on Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and Final Cut Pro: I’d casually mentioned not seeing anything about importing Final Cut Pro 7 projects into Premiere Pro in this week’s show, but listener Allan T. pointed out: “You can export XML from FCP 7 and import that XML into Premiere Pro CS 5.5”

    But even better than that, I’d completely missed the section of Premiere Pro’s feature set where it reads: “Roundtrip projects between Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 and Final Cut Pro without conversion or re-rendering, preserving commonly used effects and transitions.”

    So there ya go. It seems Premiere Pro CS 5.5 CAN, in fact, import (and export!!) Final Cut Pro projects just fine.
