Enjoyed your homesharing show. Sounds like there is a little frustration. There is an iPad app called “Stream to Me”. for $2.99. You need to get “Serve to me” for Mac and that app is free. Then I have access to all my videos, pictures, and music and they don’t even have to be in iTunes.
Speaking of iTunes, I’m having difficulty with the new upgrade to 10.2.1. After restarting iTunes I get this message: “The file “iTunes Library” cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.” EEK! In a mild state of panic, I went to my iTunes folder and clicked on a track and iTunes appeared. Whew! Still, when I quit iTunes and try it again. I get the same message. My iMac is from September of 2007 and I’ve alway updated the OSX and stuff. Running on 10.6.6 Any advice?
Hi Dave, Thanks for the comments and suggestion! I’d really like to avoid adding yet another server app to my Mac for sending music to my iPad when iTunes should be able to do it on its own, but I may end up giving something like Stream to Me a go if Apple can’t figure out how to make it work properly … the Apple way. :)
As for your iTunes problem, I’ve got a few different suggestions, but they’re a little long for a comment, so I shot you an email with a few things to try. Let me know what happens!
Mike
