  1. Lisa McLennan says

Wonderful Xmas episode as always. I am embarrassed to say that in my life THREE times I have tried to make Logitech Harmony remote work in my life and for the hubby (who is good at the TV stuff) and I – we couldn’t. So we have what Eric says are the collection of remotes like large matchbox cars on the tables in each room that has the DVR and cable box. Sigh.

Anyway, my product is a BOSE SPEAKER to recommend for those especially with OLD iPODs like the CLASSIC that DO NOT HAVE BLUETOOTH! It is the Bose® – Soundlink® Color Bluetooth Speaker II – Coral Red (here’s a link to the speaker at Best Buy).

You have to buy the 3.5MM Audio Cable (like Insignia – they have them in the store) – one end looks like the one that goes into iPHONEs (when they came with earbuds) because the Bose doesn’t come with it (it is $11 on sale on line) and you have to download the instructions from the BOSE site because they are not in the box.

Good things: comes in many good colors. Bose had legit customer service #. I got mine from Best Buy and put the website above. You can try it out in the store AND in Best Buy the 800 number gets you to Bose who tell you how to operate the display in the store. My iPOD classic has 80 GB and all my 3,964 songs (13 days worth according to iTunes) and room to spare! So now it can be used more effectively. There are OLDER VERSIONS of this that may be cheaper but I don’t know if they work. It also works with Bluetooth – I tried it with the iPhone.

    HO HO HO Lisa
